In September Loyiso Morrison completed the FIDIC Young Professionals Management Training Programme (YPMTP) in Berlin, Germany. He took part in this global programme by webinar in a virtual classroom over 6 months. It culminated in a leadership workshop and a completion ceremony as part of the FIDIC conference, where he and his peers received certificates.
“It is a true delight and a blessing to be a nominee for a remarkable milestone in one’s professional development. I am grateful for the opportunity and wish to thank the respective committees for considering me as a potential candidate” said Loyiso.
On graduating, Loyiso entered into structural engineering design then moved to the construction sector – extending his technical knowledge to the business processes associated with engineering projects.
His passion for design solutions inspired him to return to consulting. Embarking on his Masters Degree in Water Retaining Structures – he immersed himself in work that was relevant to his studies, while affording full-time opportunity to design solutions.
A highlight for Loyiso was sharing his knowledge and valuable experience, lecturing at the Tshwane University of Technology, where he graduated with a National Diploma in Civil Engineering and a BTech Degree in Structural Engineering.
Loyiso’s current mentorship role at Bosch Holdings involves tutoring trainees as well as providing site-focused solutions to his colleagues. He aims to serve the industry by contributing to the current and future demands of the engineering fraternity
