As Bosch Holdings’ 2014 Young Engineer of the Year, Meethan Gokool has certainly carried the Bosch flag and made us very proud.
Meethan participated on an international level, as part of the FIDIC Young Professional Management Training Programme, with 40 other young professionals from around the world. The programme is run over a period of nine months and is aimed at expanding the knowledge of professional engineers, beyond that of the technical environment. This covered subjects such as human resources, financial assessment and analysis of a company, business integrity and business development. Most of the programme is run over a virtual platform and culminated with a group meeting and interactive session in Rio, Brazil.
At the annual FIDIC Conference, Meethan was one of the YP’s selected to present to the delegates – the topic: ‘The influence that engineering and professional integrity of engineers can have in reducing some of the world’s problems such as poverty and corruption’. Meethan was ranked 2nd amongst the 40 other candidates from around the world.
We, as Bosch Holdings, would like to congratulate Meethan Gokool on his successes both on the local and international stage and are proud to have him as part of the Bosch Holdings team.
