Bosch Projects, a Level 1 B-BBEE company and a member of the multi-disciplinary Bosch Holdings group of companies, founded in 1961, has an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer. This position will be based in Gqeberha and reports directly to the Regional Director.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing entire projects and project teams throughout the project lifecycle, from inception, through feasibility into construction and commissioning;
- Producing, maintaining and taking responsibility for all electrical engineering deliverables required by the relevant contracts, ensuring that technical requirements are properly incorporated into the engineering deliverables;
- Performing engineering design functions efficiently in support of the project planning and/or design team.
- Management and maintenance of client relationships and co-ordination of project execution within scope, timeframe, safety, cost and to the client’s satisfaction;
- Effective management of sub-contractors as well as site staff;
- Development and management of electrical project specific documentation such as enquiries, tenders and contracts;
- Managing the preparation of relevant proposals, negotiation, and marketing processes;
- Ensuring that all work is undertaken in accordance with the Quality Management System.
- Participation in engineering activities and interdisciplinary interfaces in close cooperation with the other discipline Engineers;
- Developing, maintaining and enhancement of engineering tools, calculations or software used in the course of the engineering activities of the company.
The ideal candidate should:
- A B.Sc Eng / B.Eng / B.Tech Eng Electrical Engineering qualification;
- Registration as a Professional Engineer / Professional Engineering Technologist with ECSA;
- A minimum of 8 years’ post graduate experience & sound knowledge of the industrial industry.
- LV and MV design experience;
- Experience in defining & understanding specific project scope & deliverables, leading electrical design teams & client interactions and managing the submission of competitive proposals;
- A detailed understanding of engineering activities and project engineering workflows required for consulting, engineering services, and EPCM contracts;
- A broad understanding of the other design engineering disciplines, i.e. Mechanical / Structural;
- Must be self-motivated, disciplined, ethical and confident;
- Proficiency in CAD, Revit and BIM 360 platforms;
- Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Must be prepared to travel within and outside RSA borders;
- A valid driver’s license.
