Bosch Munitech was appointed by Rand Water for the design and construction of valves and actuators with procurement, manufacture, supply, test, delivery, installation and commissioning, for Engine Room 4 at the Vereeniging pumping station.

The project forms part of Rand Water’s infrastructure investment programme that includes civil, electrical, instrumentation and control component upgrades at the pump station. Bosch Munitech’s scope of service comprises the design, procurement and supply of 39 large diameter valves and actuators, as well as various smaller sluice gates and air valves.

Valve types include, actuated butterfly valves (800mm, 1000mm, 1400mm), actuated rising spindle sluice gate valves (450mm, 700mm, 900mm) and self-regulating slanted seat check valves (450mm, 700mm, 900mm).
