Project Description:
The company was appointed for the detailed design and construction for the relocation of the 825mm ø bulk water supply from Bufflesfontein Road in the south to Circular Drive in the North.
The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality’s (NMBM) Water Conveyance sub-directorate decided to relocate the aged existing pipeline as it was within the future carriageway.
The project comprises 1500m of butt welded HDPe pipe, 130m of pipe jacking and auger boring (road and rail crossings), two tie in points to the existing pipeline, isolating and air valve chambers and a 300mm ø cross connection for zone reticulation.
