Project Description:

The company were engaged to increase the capacity of the existing 6Mℓ/d plant to 15Mℓ/d as part of a 60Mℓ/d ultimate capacity plant. The original 6Mℓ/d was also designed by the company. The first phase comprised intake structures for degritting and removal of screenings, aeration tanks, clarifiers and chlorinator as well as sludge recycling and a belt press installation for sludge dewatering.

The phase also included admin and control buildings. A full SCADA system was included to monitor and control the plant. A full chlorination and second class water system was included. SBA are at present engaged in the design of the upgrade to 25Mℓ/d. This modular layout allows for progressive upgrades without affecting the existing plant.

SBA handles all the process, civils, mechanical and electrical and instrumentation in-house.
